Storyline:

Storyline:

On July 11, 2006, a series of seven bomb blasts took place over a period of 11 minutes on the Suburban Railway in Mumbai (formerly Bombay).

Nikhil Agarwal (R. Madhavan) works at an international software firm and is a conscious citizen, who believes in saving fossil fuels and the environment, and thus prefers to commute by local trains. On the evening of 11 July 2006 he boards the train at the usual hour of 6:00 p.m. for his hour long journey. 24 minutes later, the first class compartment is shattered by the first violent bomb explosion. Interestingly, he was unwillingly dragged into the second class compartment by an irritating guy who is trying to sell him a scheme, while his friend politely refused and preferred to go into first class. Madhavan's friend eventually loses his hand in the blast, while the unwilling move of going into the second class saves him.


Suresh (Kay Kay Menon), a Hindu , returning home after an unsavoury experience with a money lender, boards a train at 6:10 p.m. in the second class compartment. At 6:25 p.m., the first class compartment is blown apart by the second powerful blast.

Constable Tukaram Patil (Paresh Rawal), a seasoned cop due for retirement in a week, has never fired a single round in his career and uses humour to battle his personal failures. He is paired with Sunil Kadam (Vijay Maurya) on a patrol routine. Kadam has just begun his career with the police department and has a constant feeling of being an insignificant part of the system. The blasts lead to the cancellation of Kadam's honeymoon programme and puts added stress on the two. However, the corruption of the system and the mere façade of a stringent vigil are brought to the fore through several of their experiences which lead to Kadam's rising anger and frustration.

Thomas (Irfan Khan), a roadside coffee vendor, who roams the streets of Mumbai astride his bicycle at night, is happy with the meager Rs. 1200 he struggles to earn every week but is hurt by the exclusionary bourgeois attitude of the city. Although the bomb blasts leave him personally unaffected, he realizes that the incident has brought distress to others who are higher up in the class structure. Armed with this knowledge his simple mind finds a way to strike back at the society which refuses to let him belong, by making hoax calls at malls.

Rupali Joshi (Soha Ali Khan), a reporter working for one of the leading news channels in Mumbai is a strong proponent of freedom of expression and the importance of the fourth estate. The 7/11 explosions bring home a shocking subjective quandary and test her passion for objectivity.

The film moves away from all the generalized political and academic debates surrounding terrorism as a concept and follows a more nuclear approach by depicting the violence of individual trauma generated in the lives of five common individuals. As the proverbial stone thrown upon an anthill, the film depicts the aftermath of the incident, traversing individual journeys of five worker ants, amongst the millions that belong to the colony, towards normalcy.

Mahadev manages to get his friend engaged, police protection for Munni, and almost kisses Kamla before they are interrupted. However Munni is killed, and he learns a shocking truth about Kamla's husband

It soon turns out that the story was a fictional novel written by the real Mahadev, but it is mostly based on his own experiences. Though it turns out that some of the villagers didn't exactly have happy endings, Mahadev managed to improve his life, and sort out his mistakes.

However, she wants to stay on Earth and return to the family, which she is at last allowed to do, and she reunites with the family who were sad about her departure. Storyline:

Storyline:

The film follows the journey of Raj Sharma (Ranbir Kapoor) from the age of 17 to 30. He meets three girls at different stages of his life: Radhika (Bipasha Basu), a glamorous girl from Mumbai, Mahi (Minissha Lamba), a small-town girl from Punjab, and Gayatri (Deepika Padukone), an NRI from Australia. The film is about what he learns from life and from the three girls. In 1996, he goes off with his friends to Switzerland and meets Mahi. Mahi soon misses her train and is stranded in Switzarland without any money. Raj finds her and soothes her down. Soon, Mahi falls in love with Raj. They share a kiss after Raj reads her a poem he had written about his feelings for her. They have fun together and when Raj drops Mahi at the airport, Mahi opens the page on which Raj had written the poem, only to find it blank. Mahi breaks down in front of Raj, who leaves her crying and years later, in 2002, Raj is in Mumbai and with his girlfriend Radhika. After some time, Raj gets transfered to Sydney to work there. Radhika plans their engagement, but Raj is not really happy to get married. On the day of the wedding, Radhika goes to the wedding place and waits, but Raj never comes. Instead, he has boarded his airbus to Sydney, leaving Radhika a ring. Radhika is heartbroken and weeps in the rain. After 4 years later, in the year 2007, Raj is a succesful working man. One day, while romancing in a taxi cab with an Australian girl, whom he has a breakup with 10 seconds later, meets Gayatri, the driver of the cab. She also works in a super-market as the cashier. Raj falls in love with Gayatri. One night, he proposes her, but she refuses, saying that she does not believe in the institution of marriage. She walks away, leaving Raj in memories of Mahi and Radhika. Raj promises himself that he will go and apologise to Mahi and Radhika. He returns to India. He finds out that Mahi is married and has two sons. He apologises to Mahi and he makes her husband and herself fall in proper love, which both of them had never witnessed. Radhika, meanwhile, has become a super-star. She tells him that she will not forgive him easily, and that he has to become her assistant and work hard, only then will she be ready to forgive him. At first she still isn't ready, but she manages to forgive him. Raj is now happy that the promise he made to himself is finally fulfilled. He returns to Sydney to find that Gayatri had actually loved him a lot and missed him too. Both of them kiss and that's the end of the movie.
